In January 2026, the Alliance Board approved a $20 million Medi-Cal Capacity Grant Program (MCGP) Investment Plan to strengthen access and stability across our five-county service area.

El plan 2026 se centra en cuatro prioridades:

  1. Fuerza laboral e infraestructura para mejorar el acceso a una atención de alta calidad y culturalmente competente.
  2. Support safety net providers to maintain access to essential health care services.
  3. Community education and engagement to support Medi-Cal enrollment and retention.
  4. Community Health Worker (CHW) capacity building.

With this strategic shift, Round 1 2026 marked the final application round for the Doula Recruitment, Medical Assistant Recruitment, Parent Education & Support and Community Health Champions programs. These programs have now concluded.

This month, the Alliance is launching a new Member Outreach and Retention (MOR) Program. The program will fund community partners to provide outreach, education and hands-on enrollment support to help eligible members retain their Medi-Cal coverage.
