The Alliance – your ally in being your healthiest self.
Welcome to Central California Alliance for Health (the Alliance). Because you are eligible for Medi-Cal health coverage, you are now a member of the Alliance health plan. The Alliance provides Medi-Cal health coverage for Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties. We help members get started with their Alliance health plan, find a doctor, answer questions about their health care coverage and provide resources to learn how to be healthy. Healthy people, healthy communities is the vision we work towards every day!
We are here to help you. You can speak to an Alliance Member Services Representative by calling 800-700-3874, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. For the Hearing or Speech Assistance Line, call 800-735-2929 (TTY: Dial 711).
Questions about changes to Medi-Cal coverage?
For information about your Medi-Cal coverage, contact your county's Department of Social Services or Health Services Agency. If you have Medi-Cal, your county must tell you if there are any changes to your coverage. Learn more on our FAQ webpage.
We have offices in Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties. The people who work at the Alliance also live in these counties because we know it is important to have a close connection to the communities we serve.
As a new member, here are some next steps:
As a new member, you will receive an Alliance Member ID card in the mail. You can also have a new one mailed to you if your card is lost or your information changes by filling out the Replace ID Card form.
You will pick one doctor to see for all your health care needs. We call that doctor your Primary Care Provider or PCP. If you do not pick a PCP by the end of the month, we will pick one for you. Once you have a doctor, be sure to schedule an appointment for a check-up and initial health assessment within 120 days (4 months) of becoming an Alliance Member. If you need help choosing a doctor, we can help. We walk you through the process on our Find a Doctor page. You can also call Member Services for assistance.
The Alliance covers most health care services provided by your doctors, hospitals and licensed allied health care providers. The Member Handbook has information about all of your Alliance benefits, services and member rights. You can view the Member Handbook online or fill out the Request Member Handbook form to get a printed copy sent to you in the mail. Learn more about your health plan on the About Your Health Plan page.
There are many services you can do yourself online, such as changing your contact information and finding forms you might need. Find out more on our Online Self-Service page.
