The Alliance is excited to announce that we have recently partnered with Alinea, a mobile mammography provider, to bring breast cancer screenings into the communities we serve. Mammograms are a special X-ray picture of the breasts that can find cancer early, which often means treatment is easier and works better. Alinea is taking its mammogram van on the road to our providers’ offices, health fairs and other places across our five service areas.
Mammograms are free for Alliance members ages 40–74. Active members whose primary health insurance is with the Alliance will also receive a $50 Cartão-presente Target when they complete a breast cancer screening at one of our mobile events.
The Alinea Mobile Mammography van is available to travel to all Alliance service areas/counties. Several upcoming mobile mammography events are scheduled in Merced and Santa Cruz counties, with plans to expand into our other counties soon.
On Oct. 5, the Alinea van will be present at the Alliance Merced Community Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at our Merced Office located at 530 West 16th Street, Suite B.
