As part of the American Rescue Act Plan (ARPA), effective April 1, 2022, postpartum coverage for Medi-Cal members will be extended an additional 10 months at the end of the 60-day postpartum period. This will provide a total of 12 months of postpartum coverage. Coverage will include all medically necessary services through the pregnancy and postpartum period. During this period, coverage will be extended to full scope Medi-Cal benefits regardless of citizenship status or income changes.
