As of February 3, 2026, telehealth flexibilities for Medicare were reinstated and extended through December 31, 2027. This is based on updated guidance from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
This extension:
- Allows for continued coverage for telehealth services delivered in the patient’s home.
- Removes geographic and originating site restrictions.
- Expands provider eligibility.
- Maintains access to audio-only telehealth services when appropriate.
These flexibilities were previously set to expire on January 30, 2026. The extension ensures continued access to convenient and accessible telehealth care for TotalCare members.
