Become an Alliance Behavioral Health Provider

What is changing?

As of July 1, 2025, the Alliance will assume responsibility for:

• Contracting with a network of providers to treat the mild to moderate behavioral health needs of our members.
• Provider support for inquiries and concerns, credentialing and training.
• Behavioral health authorizations and claims processing.

These services are managed by Carelon Behavioral Health (Carelon) through June 30, 2025. The Alliance will collaborate closely with Carelon to ensure a seamless transition and continued care for our members.

Note: A provider’s contractual relationship with Carelon is independent of the Alliance. If providers want to contract with the Alliance, they can start the process now and the contract will take effect on July 1, 2025.

Alliance Medi-Cal members with serious behavioral health issues (such as substance use disorders, schizophrenia or eating disorders) will continue to be referred to their county’s behavioral health department for care.
