Central California Alliance for Health (the Alliance) is an award-winning regional Medi-Cal managed care plan that provides health insurance for low-income children, adults, seniors and people with disabilities in Merced, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. We currently serve more than 407,000 members.
In 1996, the Alliance was established to improve access to quality health care for lower income residents who often lacked a primary care “medical home” and had to rely on the emergency room for basic needs. We connect members to the primary and specialty care they need.
At the Alliance, our work is bigger than ourselves. Guided by our values of Collaboration, Equity, Improvement and Integrity, we strive to fulfill our vision of “Healthy people. Healthy communities.” This focus includes finding innovative solutions that lead to better health outcomes for the members.

In the 2021 Alliance Employee Engagement Survey, conducted by a third party, staff responded that they feel socially connected to one another (84% favorable), trust in their management (80% favorable) and have confidence in the Alliance (78% favorable).
Staff also responded that they are proud to work for the Alliance (90% favorable) and know how their individual work contributes to the Alliance’s mission (94% favorable) and objectives (95% favorable).

With offices in three different counties in California, our leadership team is committed to following guidance from local public health officials and the state to ensure the health and safety for not only the members we serve as a health plan, but also for our employees.
We are operating in a hybrid work environment, where most employees are telecommuting full time. While we do have some positions that require us to be onsite or in the community, we continue to support flexible work schedules where possible.
