Hispanic & Latino Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15) is a time to recognize the history, culture and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Across California — and right here in Central California — there are many ways to join the celebration, learn and connect.

Here are just a few events happening this year in our region and beyond:
- September 8 – Clovis Community College Celebration – Performances from the CCC Music Department and Folklorico Club, a Q&A hosted by the Latino Faculty and Staff Association and guest speaker Dolores Huerta.
- September 13 – Taco Fest (Monterey) – A pre-match party hosted by Monterey Bay Football Club. There will be live music, food and fun vibes.
- September 14 – Hispanic/Latine Heritage Month Festival 2025 (Santa Cruz) – A vibrant community festival with music, food, art and performances.
- September 14 – Fiestas Patrias (Fresno) – A lively event with music, food and family activities.
- September 16 – Merced College Events – A series of events honoring Hispanic & Latino Heritage Month.
- September 25 – Farmers’ Market (Monterey) – Celebration filled with culture, community and live entertainment.
- September – San Francisco Festivities – From a Lowrider Parade to Calle 24 Latino Cultural District activities, the Bay Area offers many ways to celebrate.
There are also online opportunities to take part in, such as the Tech y Cultura event and film screenings like the Cesar Chavez Hispanic Heritage Month Film & History livestream.
