A series of Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) classes will be available throughout January and February in Merced and Santa Cruz counties, made possible by funding from the Alliance’s Medi-Cal Capacity Grants Program.

Triple P is designed to assist parents and caregivers in managing children’s behavior through evidence-based strategies. These classes provide practical guidance to help parents and caregivers build stronger connections with their children while addressing behavioral challenges. The program will equip caregivers with a toolkit of effective, research-based strategies to enhance relationships with their children, support their development and address common parenting challenges.

There are classes are available in Spanish and English.

The program is built on five core principles of positive parenting:

  • Ensuring a safe, interesting environment.
  • Creating a positive learning environment.
  • Using assertive discipline.
  • Having realistic expectations.
  • Taking care of yourself as a parent.

These classes are made possible through collaboration with local partners who share our vision of healthy people, healthy communities.
