Preventive care visits are offered at no cost for Alliance members. We want our members to schedule preventive care visits regularly so they can make the most of their relationship with their doctor and live their healthiest life.
We are encouraging Alliance members of all ages to schedule a preventive care visit with their doctor today. Some of the ways we are doing this include:
- Offering rewards such as Target gift cards for completing routine care. As part of our new Healthy Start Program, effective April 1, parents and guardians can earn rewards for the things they’re already doing to keep their families healthy. These are direct rewards that are mailed to members when child/adolescent well visits and vaccines are completed. This effort reinforces our Strategic Plan focus on eliminating health disparities and achieving optimal health outcomes for children and youth.
- Sharing information in the member newsletter and on our website, such as how to create a comfortable relationship with your doctor, the importance of childhood vaccines and making the most of preventive and routine care.
- Working with providers to increase rates of childhood well visits and vaccines through our Care-Based Incentive program.
