“Marwan has a deep commitment to improving the health of our communities and a solid track record of leading with heart, both of which align with the Alliance’s vision and values,” said Dr. Dale Bishop, the Alliance’s Chief Medical Officer. “He is invested in understanding the root causes of health inequities and working to address those inequities so that our members can live their healthiest lives.”

“My experience as an immigrant provided me with a unique perspective on public health and is a driver behind my passion for serving Medi-Cal members,” said Kanafani. “I’m excited to advance the important work that’s already happening around population health at the Alliance. I’m looking forward to adding my experience in service of improving quality of care and removing obstacles to health for all.”
