Renew your Medi-Cal

The Alliance is texting members about renewing their Medi-Cal coverage! 

The Alliance is starting to text members to make sure we have the right contact information for you. We want you to receive your renewal information from the county and the Alliance to stay covered.

Have you moved? Did you get Medi-Cal coverage during the pandemic? If so, you will need to update your county office with any changes to your information.

If there have been any changes to your circumstances or contact information, your local office in Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito or Santa Cruz County needs to know. View what changes are important to report. 

Even if your information has not changed, you still need to renew your Medi-Cal.

Why do I need to update my Medi-Cal information?  

During the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE), your health coverage has remained active regardless of any changes in your circumstances. Now that the COVID-19 PHE has ended, your county will need to check to see if you still qualify for free or low-cost Medi-Cal. Don’t wait for your county to contact you. If any of your circumstances have changed, tell your county Medi-Cal office. Keep yourself and your family covered.

How do I make sure my Medi-Cal is active?

If you or someone in your household receives a letter from the county asking for information about your Medi-Cal coverage, please provide that information. This will help the county make sure that your Medi-Cal coverage remains active.   

What if my circumstances or information has changed since COVID-19 started? 

Report any changes in your household since March 2020 to your local county office. Reporting changes may help you continue to get Medi-Cal coverage. These changes include:

  • Changes to your income.
  • Disability status.
  • Phone number.
  • Mailing address.
  • If someone in your household becomes pregnant.
  • If someone moves into your home.
  • Anything else that may affect your Medi-Cal eligibility.

You can report changes in person, by phone or by mail. You can also update your contact information online at www.coveredca.com or www.benefitscal.com.
