LTC code and claim form conversion
Effective February 1, 2024, the DHCS will retire the use of LTC local service codes and the Payment Request for Long Term Care local form.
Concomitant use of opioids and CNS depressants
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advise that central nervous system (CNS) depressants such as sedative hypnotics and benzodiazepines may potentiate respiratory depression associated with opioids.
