Concomitant use of opioids and CNS depressants
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advise that central nervous system (CNS) depressants such as sedative hypnotics and benzodiazepines may potentiate respiratory depression associated with opioids.
DHCS audit of provider offices in early 2024
DHCS will conduct a routine medical audit of the Alliance in early 2024. The audit will include onsite review of a select number of provider offices.
