The Alliance is actively recruiting community organizations to contract with the Alliance and provide the Community Health Worker (CHW) benefit for Medi-Cal members.
CHWs provide:
- Health education.
- Health navigation.
- Individual support or advocacy.
- Screening and assessment that does not require a license and helps members connect with the appropriate services to improve their health.
CHW perks
- Get reimbursed at up to 150% of Medi-Cal rates for services.
- Eligible health care organizations can apply for an Alliance grant and be awarded up to $65,000 in Medi-Cal Capacity Grant Program funding to recruit and hire CHWs. An additional $10,000 incentive for bilingual CHWs is available.
- Get personalized support for credentialing, billing and any other questions you may have.
