Central California Alliance for Health (the Alliance) is the Medi-Cal managed care health plan for residents of Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties.
Radio host of Merced’s Morning show 97.5 KABX, Dave Luna, interviews Alliance Chief Health Equity Officer (CHEO) Omar Guzmán, MD about the Alliance’s work to provide accessible, quality and equitable health care to its communities. Dr. Guzmán also shares how the Alliance is partnering with Merced County Office of Education (MCOE) and Dignity Health’s Mercy Medical Center to urge parents not to wait to schedule their kids’ checkups. Appointments fill up fast and some vaccinations are required before the start of school.
