We have an opportunity to join the Alliance as Health Informatics Analyst III in the Data Analytics Services Department. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Leading the process of identifying and analyzing business issues and challenges in order to develop solutions and recommendations, identifying reporting and analytics improvement opportunities and providing proactive, strategic consultative solutions in data integrity, information validity, and insight actionability
  • Independently collaborating and partners with management, project managers, and Information Technology Services (ITS) Division staff to develop, implementing and managing an assigned reporting/analytics portfolio
  • Delivering assigned reports of data analysis in accordance with best practices and standard peer review processes for validation and consistency
  • Providing subject matter expertise and assisting with providing mentoring and training

Performs other duties as assigned

The Data Analytics team provides accurate and actionable data insights delivery for sound business decision-making.

  • Knowledge of:
    • Program evaluation data and methodology challenges and best practices
    • Predictive modeling, data mining, and risk adjustment
    • Program outcomes evaluation metrics, such as National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and/or Leapfrog
    • SQL and data visualization tools, such as Tableau
    • Healthcare industry and healthcare information standards such as HL7, LOINC, FHIR, ICD 9/10 and CPT codes, industry standard groupers, such as ETGs, DRGs, and DCGs
  • Ability to:
    • Develop data-driven and outcome-based initiatives to improve business decision making
    • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize work, maintain accurate records, and achieve goals and timelines
    • Work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in a matrix organization while supporting multiple customers
    • Assist with the orientation, training, and mentoring of other staff, as assigned
    • Lead project work teams and coach and mentor project team members
    • Work collaboratively and productively with diverse project teams in order to achieve efficient and timely solutions
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a Quantitative Analysis, Business, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Epidemiology, Economics or a related field and a minimum of five years of clinical analytics experience in a healthcare setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying

**This position is remote in California, with the exception of 2x a year in office a requirement.

 

OTHER INFORMATION

  • We are in a hybrid work environment, and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
  • While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.

 

 

The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below. 

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

 

Santa Cruz County Pay Range
$106,440$170,310 USD
Merced County Pay Range
$96,861$154,981 USD
