The Alliance has released its 2025 Community Impact Report, highlighting investments that improved health equity in 2024. Themed Community. Connection. Care., the report details how the Alliance partnered with local organizations to address social drivers of health and expand access to care for Medi-Cal members in Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties.

Key highlights:

  • $93 million in community investments supporting housing, workforce development and education.
  • $30 million for housing, creating 824 permanent supportive units and 210 temporary beds.
  • Expanding the Community Health Worker (CHW) and Doula networks with 38 CHWs and 12 doulas added in 2024.
  • $15 million for case management and community support addressing homelessness and social health needs.
  • $16 million for health care facilities, improving access for over 72,000 Medi-Cal members.

These investments come at a critical time, as proposed federal Medicaid cuts threaten to undermine access to health care for millions. As highlighted in a recent press release, an $880 billion reduction in Medicaid spending could destabilize health care infrastructure, particularly in rural areas where nearly half of the population relies on Medi-Cal.

Thank you to our community partners for your collaboration in improving health outcomes. Your efforts have a lasting impact on Medi-Cal members and the broader community.
