Each May, we celebrate Older Americans Month. This is a time to recognize the strength, wisdom and contributions of older adults in our communities. At the Alliance, it’s time to celebrate our valued Medi-Cal and TotalCare (HMO D-SNP) seniors.

The healthiest, happiest version of you

Older Americans Month reminds us that staying healthy, connected and engaged matters at every age. Small steps make a big difference to your wellbeing. You can:

  • Get a checkup.
  • Complete important health screenings.
  • Keep your mind sharp: take a class or play memory games.
  • Stay active. Walk or do chair exercises, water aerobics or yoga. Choose a form of movement that you enjoy.
  • Eat healthy food.
  • Spend time with family and friends.

Take time to celebrate

This month, take time to celebrate yourself and others. Share your stories, try something new or enjoy your favorite things to do. Healthy aging isn’t just about medical care. It’s about staying active, feeling good and enjoying life.
