Workforce Recruitment Programs

Current status:

• Applications are currently being accepted from Merced, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.

Workforce recruitment programs provide funding to support health care and community organizations in their efforts to recruit and hire personnel who will serve the Medi-Cal population in Merced, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.

There are funding opportunities to support recruitment of community health workers, medical assistants and specific kinds of health care professionals in Alliance service areas.

Community Health Worker (CHW) Provider Recruitment Program

Provides funding to support health care organizations in their efforts to recruit and hire Community Health Workers (CHWs) who are, or will become, qualified to provide the compensable CHW Service Benefit to the Medi-Cal population in Merced, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.

Medical Assistant (MA) Provider Recruitment Program

Provides funding to support health care organizations in their efforts to recruit and hire medical assistants (MAs) to expand the capacity of primary care practices to serve more Medi-Cal members in Merced, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.
