Some benefits of this service for members include:
- Available via phone call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in English and Spanish.
- Can answer questions about Medi-Cal renewal packets.
- Can connect members with a local organization in their county that may provide in-person assistance.
Note: Standard calling rates from the member’s local or wireless phone service provider may apply. Members are encouraged to check with their phone service provider for details about their calling plan.

Application of Dental Fluoride Varnish Report now available in Provider Portal
A new Quality Report for tracking dental fluoride varnish applications is available to primary care providers (PCPs) in the Alliance Provider Portal.
The report can be reviewed monthly to help your practice:
- Monitor members who may be due for fluoride application.
- Track clinic progress to improve performance for Care-Based Incentive and HEDIS measures. The Application of Dental Fluoride measure tracks members from six months to five years of age (up to before their sixth birthday) who received at least two topical fluoride applications by staff at the PCP office and/or co-located dental practices at federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) during the measurement year.
What to submit
PCPs can submit topical fluoride applications via claims and the Alliance’s Data Submission Tool (DST). Provider sites with co-located dental practices at FQHCs can submit CDT codes D1206 and D1208 through the DST. Both claims and DST data are reflected in this report for compliance.

For more information on the importance of fluoride varnish for children, please review the Application of Dental Fluoride tip sheet.
