This year, the Alliance celebrates 30 years serving our local communities. We are proud to be your local Medi-Cal health plan! Thank you for trusting us to provide accessible, quality health care guided by local innovation.
We started serving Santa Cruz County in 1996. Over the years, we’ve grown to Mariposa, Merced, Monterey and San Benito counties. We now serve over 434,000 members across 5 counties! In 2025, we earned full Health Plan and Health Equity Accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
1 out of 3 people in Mariposa, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties are Alliance members. 1 out of 2 people in Merced and Monterey counties are Alliance members.
Meeting members where they’re at
We have a diverse staff that is dedicated to serve you. We also have a group of over 14,000 providers to meet your health care needs. We strive to offer compassionate and culturally appropriate care for all stages of life and health conditions.
Here are some highlights:
- Meeting members face to face. We go to local events! Our Your Health Matters outreach team answers member questions in person. Last year, we went to over 150 events!
- We offer language assistance and work with community health workers.
- We help members with food and housing through enhanced care management and community supports.
- We now manage behavioral health care in our network.
- We have increased care options through telehealth services.
- We are improving care for mothers with doula services.
- We have a new plan for members: TotalCare (HMO D-SNP)! This is for members who are eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare.
