The Alliance awarded Health Projects Center (HPC) $65,000 to support the recruitment of Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.
This grant was made through the CHW Recruitment Program, a funding opportunity through the Alliance’s Medi-Cal Capacity Grant Program.
The CHW Recruitment Program provides funding to support health care organizations to recruit and hire Community Health Workers (CHWs) who are, or will become, qualified to provide the compensable CHW benefit to the Medi-Cal population in Merced, Monterey and Santa Cruz counties.
