Enroll in HSS cultural competency training

Alliance providers now have access to online cultural competency training offered by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This program will help equip providers with the knowledge, skills and awareness to best serve all our members, regardless of cultural or linguistic background. This training could go towards CME credits, AAFP Elective credits or contact hours, depending on eligibility and provider types.

To start the training, visit the HSS website.

All providers are encouraged to complete this training.

Thank you for supporting our strategic priority of health equity and increasing member access to culturally and linguistically appropriate health care.

The Alliance is texting members about benefits and more!

As of September 2024, the Alliance has started texting members about benefits, services and other important topics. Please share this information with Alliance members.

We already text members when they need to renew their Medi-Cal. Now, the Alliance will also text about other topics, including checkups, vaccines and other benefits and services.

We are sharing this information with providers because text and call scams are very common. We want to pass along some information that will help if members are wondering whether texts are legitimate.

  • Alliance texts will come from the short code 59849. If members get a message from a different number, they should not reply or click any links. If anything about a text is suspicious, it’s better to be cautious. Members should call Member Services to report it.
  • The Alliance will never text members to ask for health information or money.

Please encourage Alliance members to keep their contact information updated with the county and with the Alliance so that they can receive updates on their health plan.

More information on the texting program is available via the texting terms and conditions on our website.

Participate in the Alliance’s Data Sharing Incentive program

Your organization or practice may be eligible for the Alliance’s Data Sharing Incentive (DSI) program! The DSI program offers up to $40,000 in financial assistance to Alliance providers for participating in active data sharing via Health Information Exchange (HIE). The incentive supports providers to meet the mandatory California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS) Data Exchange Framework (DxF) statewide requirements.

The DSI is now open to primary care providers (PCPs), including pediatric PCPs. Future eligible provider types include:

  • Specialists.
  • Enhanced Care Management and Community Supports providers.
  • Behavioral health providers.

Providers will fill out the DSI Interest Form to express their interest in participating in the DSI program. The Alliance will use the form to determine eligibility to participate in the program. The form includes questions about your EHR system. Please email [email protected] with “DSI Interest Form” in the subject line to receive and complete the form.

For more information, including timelines and FAQs, please visit the DSI page on our website.
