Your TotalCare coverage travels with you

Planning a trip outside the United States to visit family or take a vacation? If you’re a TotalCare (HMO D-SNP) member, your health coverage travels with you.

TotalCare covers emergency and urgent care anywhere in the world when you travel outside the U.S. and its territories for less than six months. If you get sick or hurt during your trip, you can get care right away. Your plan covers up to $50,000 each year for emergency and urgent care services you receive outside the country. This helps protect you if something unexpected happens while you’re away.

When you travel, be sure to bring your member ID card with you and know how to get care if you need it. If you get care while you’re outside the U.S., keep all your receipts and paperwork. You will need them if you ask for reimbursement later.

With TotalCare, you can enjoy your trip knowing help is there if you need it.

Please refer to your Evidence of Coverage (Member Handbook) for more details. If you have questions, call TotalCare (HMO D-SNP) at 833-530-9015 (TTY: 800-735-2929 (Dial 711)), 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) from October 1 through March 31, and Monday to Friday (except holidays) from April 1 through September 30.

Safe travels!
