The Alliance brings behavioral health in-house July 1

Provider Icon

Starting July 1, 2025, the Alliance will bring behavioral health services in-house, taking over responsibility for contracting and credentialing all behavioral health providers.

We invite providers in Mariposa, Merced, Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz counties to complete an Alliance credentialing application and join our network today! Learn more about the benefits of joining the Alliance provider network on our Why Join page.

If you are a behavioral health provider and would like to continue seeing Alliance members after July 1, 2025, please email us at [email protected] or call us at 831-430-5504 to begin the contracting process.

As of July 1, 2025, the Alliance will assume responsibility for:

  • Contracting with a network of providers to treat the mild to moderate behavioral health needs of our members.
  • Provider support for inquiries and concerns, credentialing and training.
  • Behavioral health authorizations and claims processing.

These services are managed by Carelon Behavioral Health (Carelon) until June 30, 2025. The Alliance will collaborate closely with Carelon to ensure a seamless transition and continued care for our members.

The Alliance will be hosting a Behavioral Health webinar on May 21, 2025. Our in-house behavioral health manager and behavioral health medical director will be available to answer questions about the upcoming transition from Carelon. To learn more and register for the event, visit our website at https://thealliance.health/B-H-webinar.

You can also learn more about the transition on our website.
