Important IHSS Plan Information
Welcome to Central California Alliance for Health (the Alliance). Your coverage starts on the effective date on your Alliance ID card.
Your Alliance ID card
Your member ID card shows that you are an Alliance Care IHSS member. Keep it with you and show it when you get medical care or go to the pharmacy.
The card has the name of your primary care provider or PCP. Your PCP is the doctor or clinic you will go to for all your regular medical care. If you need to see a specialist, your PCP will refer you to one.
Please call Member Services if:
- The doctor or clinic on your ID card is not the one that you picked.
- You want to change your doctor.
- Your doctor is not in our Provider Directory.
Evidence of Coverage/Member Handbook
The Evidence of Coverage/Member Handbook tells you how your IHSS health plan works.
The Member Handbook goes over:
- Covered services and benefits.
- How to get care.
- What to do in an emergency.
- What to do if you have a problem or complaint.
Provider Directory
The Provider Directory is a list of providers in the Alliance network. The directory shows if a provider is taking new patients. It also shows a provider’s office hours and the languages they speak.
If you want to change your doctor, you must choose one from this directory.
