Merced County
Merced County showed slight gains in Well-Child Visits and Child and Adolescent Well-Care Visits. However, there is still work to be done in these areas to meet Minimum Performance Level (MPL) targets. Overall, Merced provider rates showed eight performance measures beneath the NCQA MPL, six of which are in Childhood Domain measures.
Monterey and Santa Cruz counties
HEDIS results in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties demonstrated outstanding performance. In fact, all measures held to NCQA’s MPL improved from the year prior. This is a remarkable achievement and deserves great applause. No MPLs were observed, an overall indication that Monterey and Santa Cruz providers are providing sufficient health care services to Alliance members, as recognized by DHCS.
