Urgent Visit Access Initiative Mariposa County
An urgent visit is an option when you are sick or have an injury that does not appear to be life-threatening that can’t wait until the next day and your primary care provider is not able to see you. Some of the reasons to see an urgent visit provider include colds or sore throats, fevers, earaches, skin rashes and sprained muscles. Life-threatening emergencies, such as a heart attack, severe pain or serious head, neck or back injury require emergency room services, or you should call 911.
When you are sick or have an injury, you should always call your primary care provider first for an appointment. You can also call the Alliance Nurse Advice Line (NAL) at 844-971-8907 (TTY: Dial 711), which will help you decide what to do next. Your doctor or the Nurse Advice Line may recommend you go to one of the Alliance urgent visit providers listed below. Most urgent visit providers are open in the evenings and on weekends. (Add the NAL phone number to your mobile phone for easy access.)
