Behavioral health care is moving to the Alliance

Right now, a company called Carelon helps Alliance members who need behavioral health care. That’s care for mental health, substance use and emotional well-being.

Starting July 1, 2025, this will change. Don’t worry. Your care will continue without interruption.

What’s changing?
On July 1, 2025, the Alliance will take over these services. We’ll help take care of both your physical health and your mental health. You will still get the care you need, but now one team will help you with everything. This can make things easier for you.

What does this mean for you?
You can get help if you’re feeling sad, anxious, needing behavioral services for your child, or having challenges with drugs or alcohol use.

You can see a therapist or psychiatrist in our network without needing special approval for most services. If you already have a behavioral health provider who is not in our network and you want to keep seeing them, you still might be able to. This is called “Continuity of Care.”

This means:

  • You can keep seeing the same therapist, psychiatrist or behavioral health provider.
  • You can finish the treatment you’re getting now.
  • If your provider is in our network, you can keep seeing them.
  • If your provider is not in our network, we’ll ask them to work with us so you can keep getting care.
  • If they don’t want to work with us, we’ll tell you and help you find a new provider.

Questions?
If you have questions or would like to ask for Continuity of Care, call Alliance Member Services at 800-700-3874 (TTY 800-735-2929 or 711). You can call Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Our goal is to support all of your health—body and mind.
