For many people, feelings of anxiety and depression can become more serious during the holidays. At the Alliance, we want to support members through this season and ensure they get the care and support they need.
The Alliance offers services to support members’ mental and emotional wellbeing through our partner, Beacon Health Options. These services are part of behavioral health care, an umbrella term that refers to mental health, behavioral concerns and substance use. Our website includes information on behavioral health care for members thiab providers.
Any of the following individuals can get behavioral health support through the Alliance’s managed care plan:
- Adult members who are experiencing mild to moderate impairment or distress related to a mental health issue.
- Anyone under age 21 with behavioral health concerns.
- Members of any age who may have a mental health disorder but need further evaluation.
Beacon provides services including individual and group therapy, psychiatric visits, psychological testing and autism services.
To connect with Beacon Health Options, members can call 855-765-9700, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Members can also call the Alliance’s Member Services at 800-700-3874, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Specialty mental health and substance use disorders
Specialty mental health services and substance use disorder care are provided through the county behavioral health system per state policy. Beacon and the Alliance do not provide these services. More information on county behavioral health services is available on our website.
Mental health emergencies
Please note that the services described here are for timely connection to care for non-urgent behavioral health needs. Anyone experiencing a mental health crisis or having thoughts of suicide should call or text the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988. This service is available in English and Spanish. Anyone having a mental health emergency should call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
