This training is for educators, school personnel and early care providers to: 

  • Recognize and respond to trauma and stress in children. 
  • Share strategies for creating safe and supportive learning environments. 

Presentations will be followed by a question and answer session. 

Learning objectives 

  • Define the key concepts related to adversity, trauma and toxic stress and their impact on the health of children and youth. 
  • Discuss the possible outcomes, opportunities and challenges of providing trauma-informed care in educational and care settings.
